• Adiga Yasin age 56 years, a host community household beneficiaries in proporo village, in Romogi Sub County in Yumbe district received tree seedling support from Caritas in 2020 to plant 3 acres of Teak seedlings as wood lot and 1 acre of Gmalena seedling as woodlot.

• According to Yasin ‘Before the coming of the refugees in Bidibidi in 2016, the whole area of Romogi were covered with trees and grasses but now all these things are gone because refugees cut trees for construction and firewood, see all my trees are down’

• Yassin said that he planted 1500 teak seedlings in the and his estimates that 90% of the teak seedling survived while he planted 500 Gmalania seedling and estimates that survival rate is 70%.
Most Significate change is the expectation which Yassin has in the wood lot. He said that he consider the wood lot as a great asset given to him and he excepts to get more than Ugx 20,000,000/= from the sale of the tree in future for timber and construction.
Yassin thanked Caritas for the support and said since trees have been cut down in their areas Caritas should continue supporting people with tree seedling such that Environment can be restore and said that he has sold firewood from pruning the tree branches to tune of Ugx 400000/= And he said he is excited about the program
