• In March 2021, when Caritas groups were being formed in Lori Sub County Ombaci Parish Oche group was among them which was formed in the Oche Village. Caritas supported Oche group with tomatoes seedlings, Watering Cane, Onions, trainings on climate smart agriculture among others to establish demonstration gardens in June 2021.

Onziru (not real names) said that before receiving support from Caritas ‘it was hard for us women in this Village to get money and to support our families’. At first we just depend on our husbands for everything.

Onziru said that there is nothing to offer for Caritas but they thank Caritas for offering them the Capital to start their own business and now they are in position to accesses seed fund from the group savings at low interest. All for us are now doing some business said Onziru!
